Patty has been an educator for more than 30 years. She received her BA in Elementary Education at St. Catherine’s University. She also received a Master’s degree in School Administration from the University of St. Thomas. Currently, Patty is attending St. Mary’s University and is working towards a Master’s in Special Education.
Patty has worked in charter schools in a number of capacities. She was the Executive Director of a charter school in Minneapolis and also served as an elementary school teacher. She is currently a Special Education teacher at Global Academy, a charter school in Columbia Heights.

Debra earned a B.S. in Elementary Education and a Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Minnesota. She also completed a K-12 Educational Leadership program from the University of St. Cloud. Debra holds a current MN Educator License as well as a MN Principals’ License.
For the first 10 years of her teaching career Debra taught at Clear Springs Elementary in the Minnetonka Public School system. While at home with her sons, Debra was an active volunteer and staff member at St. Peter School in North St. Paul. She created a cultural arts program and a “Wings” program for differentiated instruction. She was also the library coordinator and taught Math, Spanish and Art. She served as the President and then Vice President of the Parent Association. One of her primary responsibilities was to coordinate parent volunteers for numerous fundraising endeavors. She created and supported fundraisers designed to raise funds for the school playground, a new gym floor, technology for classrooms, hands-on science curriculum materials and cultural arts experiences for all students.
Before teaching at NMFA, Debra taught at Higher Ground Academy, a charter school in St. Paul.

Randy Brady lives in Oakdale Minnesota with his wife Tram and son Tyler. Tyler is a student at North Metro flex Academy.
Currently, Randy is a consultant working with individuals and small businesses in the area of financial literacy, personal development, and professional development.
Randy Brady has more than 18 years of experience as a driver safety expert. In that capacity, Randy has wonderful experience teaching teenagers and adults from cultures all over the world.
Randy has earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Augsburg College, 1988-1993. Upon graduating, Randy attended University of Northern Iowa for advanced studies in secondary education, 1993-1995.
While in Iowa, Randy worked nearly 2 years with developmentally and physically disabled adults in program design and education.
August 16, 1977 Randy was 9 years old. While driving through Bloomington Illinois, on their way home to Minnesota, Randy and his family were involved in a horrific car crash. The resulting brain injuries permanently affected Randy’s speech and vision. Randy Brady has learned to overcome these challenges, along with a learning disability which may or may not be attributed to the brain injuries.
Randy also enjoys web design, writing, reading, and spending time with his family.

Ember earned a B.S. in Elementary Education and Early Childhood Education from Augsburg College in Minneapolis.
This is Ember’s first year of teaching. She loves teaching Kindergarten at North Metro Flex Academy.
Before teaching, Ember served two years with Minnesota Reading Corps as a K-3 literacy tutor at Pilot Knob STEM school in Eagan. She also worked for two years with students with special needs as a Special Education paraprofessional at Alliance Education Center in Rosemount.
Ember has been involved in the community by volunteering with after school programs, homework help at homeless shelters, and Feed my Starving Children.

Anna Anderson lives in North Saint Paul, Minnesota with her husband and two kids, Treavon and Aubriana. Both Treavon and Aubriana attend North Metro Flex Academy.
Anna earned a business certificate through Rasmussen College in 2015. She is a Credit Life and Disability Examiner for Securian Financial Group (since September 2011). She enjoys what she does and the company she works for.
Anna is passionate about her children’s education. After her son had a rough year at another school and before her daughter started Kindergarten, she decided to find an alternative school for her children. She found North Metro Flex Academy just before moving to North Saint Paul in 2016. The 2016-17 school year was their first year in attendance, and they cannot wait to start the 2017-18 school year. Anna was drawn to the school by its’ teaching techniques, parent and teacher/staff communication, and the diverse community of students.
In her spare time, Anna enjoys spending time with her family and taking trips to the family cabin throughout the year. She also enjoys crafts and creating gifts for friends and family.
